Εἰ τὸ μὲν ἀργύριον, ὃ εὕρομεν ἐν τοῖς μαρσίπποις ἡμῶν, ἀπεστρέψαμεν πρὸς σὲ ἐκ γῆς Χανάαν, πῶς ἂν κλέψαιμεν ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ κυρίου σου ἀργύριον ἢ χρυσίον;
If indeed the money, that we found in our sacks, we brought back to you from the land of Chanaan, how should we steal silver or gold from the house of your lord?
הן כסף אשׁר מצאנו בפי אמתחתינו השׁיבנו אליך מארץ כנען ואיך נגנב מבית אדניך כסף או זהב׃
