Οἱ δὲ εἶπαν αὐτῷ· Ἵνα τί λαλεῖ ὁ κύριος κατὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα; μὴ γένοιτο τοῖς παισίν σου ποιῆσαι κατὰ τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο.
But they said to him, “Why does the lord speak according to these words? It is not possible for your servants to have done according to this word.
ויאמרו אליו למה ידבר אדני כדברים האלה חלילה לעבדיך מעשׂות כדבר הזה׃

* It is not possible OR It may not be that OR It can’t be that OR Far be it from. μὴ γένοιτο (don’t let it be) = God/heaven forbid.
