καὶ ἀγάγετε πρός με τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν τὸν νεώτερον, καὶ γνώσομαι ὅτι οὐ κατάσκοποί ἐστε, ἀλλ᾿ ὅτι εἰρηνικοί ἐστε, καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν ὑμῶν ἀποδώσω ὑμῖν, καὶ τῇ γῇ ἐμπορεύεσθε.
and bring to me your younger brother, and I shall know that you are not spies, but that you are peaceable, and your brother I will return to you, and you shall trade in the land.”
והביאו את־אחיכם הקטן אלי ואדעה כי לא מרגלים אתם כי כנים אתם את־אחיכם אתן לכם ואת־הארץ תסחרו׃
