Ἐφοβήθησαν δὲ αἱ μαῖαι τὸν Θεὸν καὶ οὐκ ἐποίησαν καθότι συνέταξεν αὐταῖς ὁ βασιλεὺς Αἰγύπτου, καὶ ἐζωογόνουν τὰ ἄρσενα.
But the midwives feared God and they did not do as the king of Egypt ordered them, and they kept alive the males.
ותיראן המילדת את־האלהים ולא עשׂו כאשׁר דבר אליהן מלך מצרים ותחיין את־הילדים׃
