Καὶ εἶπεν τῷ πατρὶ αὐτῆς· Μὴ βαρέως φέρε, κύριε· οὐ δύναμαι ἀναστῆναι ἐνώπιόν σου, ὅτι τὰ κατ᾿ ἐθισμὸν τῶν γυναικῶν μοί ἐστιν. ἠρεύνησεν δὲ Λαβὰν ἐν ὅλῳ τῷ οἴκῳ καὶ οὐχ εὗρεν τὰ εἴδωλα.
And she said to her father, “Do not be offended, sir; I am not able to rise up before you, because what is customary with women is upon me.” Then Laban searched in all the house and he did find the idols.
ותאמר אל־אביה אל־יחר בעיני אדני כי לוא אוכל לקום מפניך כי־דרך נשׁים לי ויחפשׂ ולא מצא את־התרפים׃
