Genesis 26:7

Ἐπηρώτησαν δὲ οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ τόπου περὶ Ῥεβέκκας τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ, καὶ εἶπεν· Ἀδελφή μού ἐστιν· ἐφοβήθη γὰρ εἰπεῖν ὅτι· Γυνή μού ἐστιν, μήποτε ἀποκτείνωσιν αὐτὸν οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ τόπου περὶ Ῥεβέκκας, ὅτι ὡραία τῇ ὄψει ἦν.

Now the men of the place questioned him concerning Rhebekka his wife, and he said, “She is my sister,” for he feared to say, “She is my wife,” lest perhaps the men of the place should kill him for Rhebekka, because she was beautiful in appearance.

וישׁאלו אנשׁי המקום לאשׁתו ויאמר אחתי הוא כי ירא לאמר אשׁתי פן־יהרגני אנשׁי המקום על־רבקה כי־טובת מראה הוא׃
