Εἶπεν δὲ Ἀβραὰμ περὶ Σάῤῥας τῆς γυναικὸς αὐτοῦ ὅτι· Ἀδελφή μού ἐστιν· ἐφοβήθη γὰρ εἰπεῖν ὅτι· Γυνή μού ἐστιν, μήποτε ἀποκτείνωσιν αὐτὸν οἱ ἄνδρες τῆς πόλεως δι᾿ αὐτήν. ἀπέστειλεν δὲ Ἀβιμέλεχ βασιλεὺς Γεραρων καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν Σάῤῥαν.
Now Abraam said concerning Sarrha his wife that “She is my sister,” for he was afraid to say that “She is my wife,” lest at any time the men of the city kill him for her account. Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarrha.
ויאמר אברהם אל־שׂרה אשׁתו אחתי הוא וישׁלח אבימלך מלך גרר ויקח את־שׂרה׃
