Genesis 3:17

Τῷ δὲ Ἀδὰμ εἶπεν· Ὅτι ἤκουσας τῆς φωνῆς τῆς γυναικός σου καὶ ἔφαγες ἀπὸ τοῦ ξύλου οὗ ἐνετειλάμην σοι τούτου μόνου μὴ φαγεῖν, ἀπ᾿ αὐτοῦ ἔφαγες, ἐπικατάρατος ἡ γῆ ἐν τοῖς ἔργοις σου· ἐν λύπαις φάγῃ αὐτὴν πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς σου·

And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree, of which I commanded you only this not to eat from it, cursed is the ground because of your works, in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

ולאדם אמר כי־שׁמעת לקול אשׁתך ותאכל מן־העץ אשׁר צויתיך לאמר לא תאכל ממנו ארורה האדמה בעבורך בעצבון תאכלנה כל ימי חייך׃

 

* ἐν τοῖς = because of. See the curse in Gen 8:21.
