Ἑώρων δὲ οἱ γραμματεῖς τῶν υἱῶν Ἰσραὴλ ἑαυτοὺς ἐν κακοῖς λέγοντες· Οὐκ ἀπολείψετε τῆς πλινθείας τὸ καθῆκον τῇ ἡμέρᾳ.
Now the recorders of the children of Israel saw themselves in distress, saying, “You shall not fail to deliver the daily rate of the brick making.”
ויראו שׁטרי בני־ישׂראל אתם ברע לאמר לא־תגרעו מלבניכם דבר־יום ביומו׃
