Exodus 32:27

Καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· Τάδε λέγει Κύριος ὁ Θεὸς Ἰσραὴλ· Θέσθε ἕκαστος τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ῥομφαίαν ἐπὶ τὸν μηρὸν, καὶ διέλθατε καὶ ἀνακάμψατε ἀπὸ πύλης ἐπὶ πύλην διὰ τῆς παρεμβολῆς, καὶ ἀποκτείνατε ἕκαστος τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστος τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἕκαστος τὸν ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ.

And he says to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Put each one his own sword on the thigh, and go through and return from gate to gate through the camp, and kill each one his brother and each one his neighbor and each one the one nearest to him.’

ויאמר להם כה־אמר יהוה אלהי ישׂראל שׂימו אישׁ־חרבו על־ירכו עברו ושׁובו משׁער לשׁער במחנה והרגו אישׁ־את־אחיו ואישׁ את־רעהו ואישׁ את־קרבו׃

 

*   ἐπὶ  τὸν μηρὸν καὶ διέλθατε = Samaritan Pentateuch  על ירכו ועברו | Masoretic Text omits καὶ, i.e. על־ירכו עברו
*   neighbor (American English) OR neighbour (British English)
