Σῖτος δὲ οὐκ ἦν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ· ἐνίσχυσεν γὰρ ὁ λιμὸς σφόδρα· ἐξέλιπεν δὲ ἡ γῆ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ γῆ Χανάαν ἀπὸ τοῦ λιμοῦ.
Now there was no grain in all the land; for the famine prevailed severely; then the land of Egypt and the land of Chanaan ran out of supply because of the famine.
ולחם אין בכל־הארץ כי־כבד הרעב מאד ותלה ארץ מצרים וארץ כנען מפני הרעב׃
