Εἶπεν δὲ Ἰωσήφ· Μή μοι γένοιτο ποιῆσαι τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο· ὁ ἄνθρωπος, παρ᾿ ᾧ εὑρέθη τὸ κόνδυ, αὐτὸς ἔσται μου παῖς, ὑμεῖς δὲ ἀνάβητε μετὰ σωτηρίας πρὸς τὸν πατέρα ὑμῶν.
Then Ioseph said, “It is not possible for me to do this thing; the man, with whom was found the cup, he shall be my servant, but you go up safely to your father.”
ויאמר חלילה לי מעשׂות זאת האישׁ אשׁר נמצא הגביע בידו הוא יהיה־לי עבד ואתם עלו לשׁלום אל־אביכם׃
