Οἱ ἄνθρωποι οὗτοι εἰρηνικοί εἰσιν μεθ᾿ ἡμῶν· οἰκείτωσαν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐμπορευέσθωσαν αὐτήν, ἡ δὲ γῆ ἰδοὺ πλατεῖα ἐναντίον αὐτῶν. τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν λημψόμεθα ἡμῖν γυναῖκας καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας ἡμῶν δώσομεν αὐτοῖς.
These men are peaceful with us, let them dwell in the land and let them trade in it, now look, the land is spacious before them. We will take their daughters as wives for us and we will give them our daughters.
האנשׁים האלה שׁלמים הם אתנו וישׁבו בארץ ויסחרו אתה והארץ הנה רחבת־ידים לפניהם את־בנתם נקח־לנו לנשׁים ואת־בנתינו נתן להם׃
