Καὶ ἀνηγγέλη τῷ βασιλεῖ τῶν Αἰγυπτίων ὅτι πέφευγεν ὁ λαός· καὶ μετεστράφη ἡ καρδία Φαραὼ καὶ τῶν θεραπόντων αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν, καὶ εἶπαν· Τί τοῦτο ἐποιήσαμεν τοῦ ἐξαποστεῖλαι τοὺς υἱοὺς Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ μὴ δουλεύειν ἡμῖν;
And it was reported to the king of the Egyptians that the people had fled; and the heart of Pharao and his servants were turned against the people, and they said, “What is this that we have done, to send the sons of Israel away, so they do not serve us?”
ויגד למלך מצרים כי ברח העם ויהפך לבב פרעה ועבדיו אל־העם ויאמרו מה־זאת עשׂינו כי־שׁלחנו את־ישׂראל מעבדנו׃
